We are looking for some folks to join our team

If you are passionate about growing food, working on a team, have a strong body and great work ethic or know someone who has these qualities please get in touch or share this opportunity

Little Wing Farm is a small bio-intensive and diversified organic farm, producing vegetables and flowers year round for sale at our roadside self-serve honor system farm stand. In addition we raise a flock of quail for egg production to serve a high end restaurant in San Francisco as well as our stand. The farm is located at the base of Black Mountain on a 1,200 acre ranch in fabulously beautiful Pt Reyes Station. This is our 6th year in production, we have 3+ acres in cultivation, including a strawberry and flower U-pick, plus seasonal on farm dinners. Our flowers and vegetables are in high demand and we are looking to add a person to our crew for this year that can help us meet the popularity of our products. This is an exciting time to join the farm with lots of opportunity to deepen your farming skills and the potential for long term employment and advancement.

Farm Manager

The farm manager works closely with Little Wing's founder and farmer, Molly, to crop plan, manage and schedule the weekly tasks, delegate jobs to crew members, over see crew work, give feedback and help cultivate crew skills and knowledge. About half of the field cultivation is done with a tractor and the other half with a walk behind BCS tiller. Familiarity with one or both is a plus but not necessary.

We are a small tight knit crew that works closely together so the farm manager should be able to gel with the crew, be motivational, supportive and help tend a positive atmosphere.
In addition to managing and engaging in field work, the farm manager is responsible for recording harvest, seeding & planting, and seasonal tasks.

This is a dynamic and exciting position with a good deal of responsibility, opportunities to learn and further your farming skills and advance at the farm.

We are looking for someone not only with some real production farming know-how under their belt, but also some management or leadership experience. Applicants must have at least 2 years production farm experience and have held a leadership or management role at a previous farm.

Compensation begins at $20/hr for a trial/training period and then moves up to $25/hr
Please email resume and a letter of intent, outlying why you would like to work at Little Wing and why you are right for the job, to Molly Myerson at Fruitoftheloam@gmail.com
